Old Fashioned Sugar Cookie Recipe
Lately I’ve been reminiscing about the warm sugar cookies by Grandma would pull out of the oven, after we spent our time in the kitchen laughing and mixing them up. Those were some great times filled with great memories. My grandmother passed from this earth without passing along her recipe. Actually, she never actually baked from a recipe though either.
Anyways, long story short. I scoured the internet for the PERFECT sugar cookie recipe to remind me of my grandmother. This comes pretty darn close if I do say so myself. Happy Baking!! May you make many great memories with your loved ones baking alongside them, like I did my own grandmother.

- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of grated orange rind
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2-3 tablespoons of milk
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until the texture is light and fluffy. Add egg; beat until blended. Mix in vanilla and orange rind.
