Eggnog French Toast Bake
“I don’t know about you, but I like, actually I need, to have my Christmas morning breakfast ready to go on the big day. To eliminate some stress for myself and to enjoy Christmas morning, I will assemble a breakfast dish the night before. When we get up in the morning, all I have to do is pop it in the oven when we start our gift opening, and breakfast will be ready when we are done!”
Make your Christmas morning easier by serving up some of this make-ahead Eggnog French Toast Bake. Just assemble it the night before, bake while you get your morning started, and serve when it’s ready. This bake is so tasty… it’s base is a lot like a bread pudding featuring French bread soaked in a cinnamon-y eggnog mixture that is then baked up and served with a homemade caramel sauce. Of course if it’s easier for you you can always buy a premade caramel sauce (I like Trader Joe’s salted caramel sauce) or just forgo it and use traditional maple syrup. Yum!
