Crochet Ombré Basket

Crocheted baskets really seem to be gaining in popularity lately, and I for one think this ombré basket is just beautiful. And wouldn’t it be a gorgeous way to stash your yarn or your current crochet or knitting projects?

This is a very sturdy basket because it’s crocheted using four strands of yarn held together. No need to worry about this one falling over! You can either make it in one single spiral (that’s best if you’re using only one color of yarn) or joined at the end of each round if you’re making your basket in multiple colors. I plan on making a few of these baskets, one with the ombré effect created by using different yarns (like the picture above), one solid colored, and one using an ombré yarn like Red Heart’s Super Saver Ombré. I think the different effects from the different yarns will be pretty cool, but the consistency in the basket pattern will tie them all together.
