7 Layer Bars
““7 Layer Bars” are another treat my mom made often growing up — especially around the holidays. We could always expect these around October-November and had probably too many of them (if that’s even a thing…) in December. My mom always changed out the baking chips and the nuts she’d include, but she never did white chocolate…because she actually hates white chocolate. But me? I LOVE it. And honestly, I love it even more when it’s paired with milk chocolate. So, for me, these are the ultimate 7 Layer Bars, by becoming 8 layers 🙂”
These secretly-8-layer 7 Layer Bars are so good that you won’t even mind the discrepancy in the name! A buttery graham cracker crust supports layers of milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, pecans, sweetened condensed milk, and coconut. And they are too dang good!
Since the holidays are coming and therefore the options of baking add-ins sold at your grocery store will be exponentially increased, try taking a tip from Chelsea’s mom and swap out your add-ins. I’m already planning on a version with cherry chips and almonds swapped for the butterscotch and pecans. And think of what you could do with peanut butter chips, cinnamon chips, and whatnot. Yum!
