Don’t you just love this pretty and colorful suncatchher? Just imagine it gazing at it while the summer sun shines through.  Fortunately, this little piece of art is pretty inexpensive and easy to make so you can have one too!

This craft consists of melting plastic beads in a form such as a cake pan. Once they’re melted and cooled, you can pop them out and then string together any sort of suncatcher that suits your fancy.  I have a couple pieces of advice though. First, if you’re going to melt the beads in a cake pan, I recommend grabbing a cheap one from a garage sale or secondhand store– I know I personally wouldn’t feel safe cooking food in a pan that plastic has previously been “cooked” in.  Also, I recommend doing the melting outside on a grill or in a toaster oven because the melting plastic SMELLS!
