How to Grow Tangerines at Home
Tangerines are closely related to mandarin oranges, and their small size, easy-to-peel rinds, and delectably sweet flavor make them a favorite of many people. Tangerines are also an excellent source of vitamin C, folate, and beta-carotene while also supplying your body some B vitamins, potassium, and magnesium. All and all, and excellent little fruit to keep on hand!
If you want to grow your own tangerines at home, you’ll be happy to know it can be done! These little gems are in season from fall through spring, which makes them excellent for keeping nasty colds at bay. I like to keep my citrus trees outside during the summer so the flowers can get pollinated by the bees and then bring them inside for the cooler months. Now let’s get to planting!
