Ugh, those air conditioning units on the side of a house are such an eyesore and they break up what could be attractive landscaping with their mere existence.  Never fear, you can easily build this lattice cover to mask it.

 

While you can usually find pre-made plastic covers at a store like Lowe’s, I always enjoy making my own stuff because it’s usually cheaper and can be built to any size I want it.  That’s especially important for covers like these because you want to make sure there’s plenty of airflow around your air conditioning unit.  This tutorial can even be modified to make covers for utility boxes that may be residing in your backyard.
