Last year I discovered this easy DIY tutorial when I was searching for ways to decorate my home for the holidays with some Victorian-era flair. When I found this, I loved how beautiful it was and immediately got to work making it. After it was complete, I proudly hung it in my home and received so many compliments on it! And you’d better believe I’m making it again this year. Only this time I’ll spray the orange slices with some polyurethane so I can use them again next year.

The nice thing about this Dried Orange project is its versatility. Are you looking for a rustic look? Thread the orange slices on jute string. How about Victorian? You can do what I did and thread it on some pretty ribbon. And you can even make Christmas tree ornaments out of the orange slices. I decorated my small tree with them last year and they looked so pretty with the lights shining through them, almost like stained glass.
