DIY Shower Jellies for Soft, Strong Skin
“I’ve learned over the past few years that there isn’t just one kind of person who prefers natural or homemade health and beauty products. All kinds of people seek out natural products for all sorts of reasons. But there is one thing that unifies us – we all love LUSH.
Okay, so maybe that’s an exaggeration, but LUSH does appeal to a lot of people with their fresh, handmade, and cruelty-free cosmetic products. And a lot of their products are just plain FUN! 🙂 Take, for instance, their line of “shower jellies.” They are essentially shower gels that are more solid, similar to the consistency of jello. The added gelatin can help strengthen the elasticity of your skin, while the soap and scents leave you feeling soft and clean. A pretty genius idea, if you ask me!”
As Jillee mentioned above, LUSH has a huge cult following, but sometimes it’s just as fun to make a LUSH product copycat as it is to buy and use one from the store. That’s why I’m loving these DIY shower jellies. They really do make your skin feel great, and I love that I can customize the fragrances for my own form of aromatherapy. Right now my favorites are a spearmint and lime essential oil combo (it smells like a mimosa and is totally energizing!) and then a Damascus rose jelly that de-stresses and calms.
