DIY Rain Barrel
Just a few more weeks of winter are left and then we’ll be heading into spring’s rainy weather. So, I suggest taking advantage of the rain and collecting it in a DIY rain barrel to provide some free water to your summer garden.
After a quick glance of amazon.com, I saw that rain barrels sell for roughly sixty to a hundred dollars. Yikes! But if you make one yourself, you can save yourself a good chunk of money. All you’ll need is a big garbage can like the one pictured above, some mosquito netting, and a valve spigot so that you can easily use that lovely free water.
