I just love doing DIY garden projects, and this one certainly caught my eye. It’s really very easy and adorable to boot!  I’m planning on making one in a turquoise blue for my backyard.

This project requires a 17″ urn, a12″ poly urn, a 10″ terra cotta saucer, spray paint, craft paint, flowers and/or plants, and potting soil. Just a note, please be careful to paint the saucer with a paint that will be safe with the bird’s drinking water.) If you want to make this birdbath more appropriate for including butterflies and bees, just add some rocks to the bottom of the saucer and be sure to leave some of them so that they’re not completely submerged.  Or, if you want to exclude the bathing part all together, using the saucer as a planter would be really cute too.
