“This crochet pattern will help you learn how to make a front post double crochet stitch while also completing an easy project. This blanket pattern has a wonderful texture to it, making it extra cuddly and warm. The yarn I’m using is Caron Cake in Rainbow Sprinkles. Follow along with my step-by-step instructions and soon you will have your very own waffle stitch blanket!”

Like most kids, my daughter is obsessed with rainbows, so I’m going to surprise her with one of these lovely rainbow Waffle Stitch Blankets. This stitch is a very easy crochet technique that yields a fun texture. And the colors certainly are eye-catching! If you can’t get ahold of Caron Cakes (they’re sold at Michael’s craft stores) you could substitute some Bernat Pop or Lion Brand Mandala yarn. Have fun!
