I first discovered the flavors of Coq Au Vin a number of years past when I gave some Coq Au Vin simmer sauce to my mom for Christmas. After that, I was never able to find the same simmer sauce again. However, last year I discovered that Williams-Sonoma makes a Coq Au Vin braising sauce. Ohhh, it’s delicious! But nothing can compare to making it on your own. This recipe is incredibly flavorful and pretty easy to make. Granted, it does take a bit of time, but it is so worth it. This is a perfect recipe to make for a special occasion or when you’re going to have company over for dinner.
