Back when my youngest was a newborn baby, I got addicted to cooking with Williams-Sonoma braising sauces. They were so easy and convenient, quite tasty, and the braising made any protein nice and tender. However great those sauces are, though, they aren’t exactly easy on the budget. Enter recipes like this one. For very little money and effort, you can braise your meat in a variety of sauces and ingredients and get incredibly delicious results. This beer-braised beef in particular is one of my favorite ways to braise meat. It yields an incredibly juicy chunk of meat with veggies that have nice flavor and are still a bit al dente.
