Alton Brown’s Baked Macaroni and Cheese
Ah, macaroni and cheese. The quintessential American favorite that is always welcome in any season! Here’s a fantastic recipe from the talented Alton Brown that I’m certain you are going to love.
This mac and cheese is full of cheddar cheesy goodness and has a bit of extra flavor thanks to the addition of mustard powder, smoked paprika, and a little bit of onion. Sometimes if I’m going for even more flavor I’ll toss in a little bit of cayenne. And the addition of the panko breadcrumbs on top adds a nice bit of crunch- a perfect counterpoint to the creamy pasta below. Try this one soon, and take my suggestion of doubling the recipe and baking it in a 9×13 pan because you’re going to want to go back for seconds!
