10 Great Garden Crops You’ve Never Heard Of
If variety is the spice of life, then it’s definitely time to up the spice factor by planting some little-known and easy-to-grow crops in your garden. Once you gather your harvest you’ll get to try out some delicious new flavors and get an array of nutrients.
The trombocino squash, pictured above, is a really interesting squash because it can be harvested young and cooked like a summer squash or left on the vine to get a harder skin and then be treated as a winter squash. Haskaps are another little-known crop that I’m excited to try. Apparently they are loaded with antioxidants and potassium– so healthy!
